Willie Hickey is the best! He was on time, took less than the time quoted, and fixed my pocket door repair expertly and re-caulked! He even completed a cabinet door repair and then cleaned up so thoroughly after working that one wouldn’t have known he drilled and hammered at all. I was relieved that he replaced all door trim without damaging any of it. Willie Hickey is the best handyman ever! I lived in Irvine about 20 years ago and, upon purchasing my first condominium, used Willie for several projects. He always showed up on time, had fair pricing, was very pleasant to work with, did excellent work, and most of all earned my trust and respect! I recently returned to the area, almost 20 years later, and was both surprised and pleased to see that Willie is still alive, well, and working harder than ever as a handyman! (and he looks the same — the guy doesn’t age a bit!). This week he installed some blackout shades for me and, as always, did an excellent job at a very fair price. He did a good job, was up front about pricing and had very reasonable rates. He insists on doing an assessment first which I appreciate so I know we’re on the same page about everything. He patched a couple holes, replaced a door, and re-caulked the shower. Saved his number to my phone in case sonething comes up in the future.
Willie is the absolute best! He hung my headboard, set up my desk, and fixed my closet. He was very friendly and definitely knew what he was doing. Next time I need a handyman I will most definitely call him.
Willie was excellent. He really was interested in my work. He Painted my dining room and did a great job. He also hung some shelves for me in my kitchen and offered suggestions on different types of brackets to use. His additions were really helpful and improved the astetics if my project. He is very personable and professional. I most certainly would use him again.

Willie did a great job assembling and installing a fairly heavy duty piece of fitness equipment in my garage. He did a great job at a very fair price.

What I love about Willie Hickey Handyman services is that he’s able to work around my schedule. He can schedule the work for the evening or weekends. I had him install a thermostat and some other repair work and he was able to fit me in on a Sunday! He is multi-talented and has installed a ceiling fan, performed plumbing, and drywall repair and painting for me. He is very down to earth and reliable and will give you an honest and straightforward assessment of the job before he starts. He lives in central Orange County but drives all over the County to provide his exceptional service.
Does what he says he’ll do when he said he’d do it and at a good price. We needed a new four-box mailbox post installed after a wind storm knocked ours down. After getting offers from a couple of other handymen/contractors and then hearing nothing, I was getting frustrated, plus the Post Office was threatening to stop delivering mail lest their carrier sprain an ankle slinging his or her butt out of the van. I contacted Willie via Yelp and he asked for a couple of photos. He sent me a written quote that was lower than the others and showed up a day early (Super Bowl Sunday!) to drop off his supplies and check the installation. He did a great job on the installation and is a heck of a nice guy, too! He’ll be my go-to contractor from now on!

Mr. Hickey was responsive in making an appointment, thorough in his estimate, and reasonably priced. I’m estimator for a large general contractor and I know what labor and materials cost. I contracted with Mr. Hickey for stucco work, selective demolition, light fixture installation, drywall, door/frame/hardware, wood trim, countertop installation, plumbing, plaster & acoustical ceiling patching. Mr. Hickey is a pro and exceeded our expectations with high quality craftsmanship, he explained the process for each task, made great suggestions, was trustworthy, and a pleasure to work with.
